5.How to wash 100% polyester/synthetic fabric garments?

Q:     1.What are the main care instructions during daily home laundering for clothes?

A:     Usually, there is a care label sewed on each of the garment which will give detail washing care instruction base on the fabric’s characteristics and special sewing methods etc, therefore, we have to follow the care label when we wash the garment. Another key point is that we usually do not mix light color clothes with dark color clothes together during laundering, it is because there will be potential color staining to the light color clothes. The main reason is that dark color clothes are usually dyed with more saturated color, therefore, colorfastness is not as good as light color clothes, and thus it may have more chance to bleed out color during washing process, therefore, causing color staining to the light color garments.

Q:     2.What attentions should we pay when drying clothes?

A:     Usually, tumble dry is very convenient for during clothes, but as it involved using high temperature to tumble the clothes, therefore, the clothes (esp. light weight 100% cotton clothes like T-shirt, Polo-shirt and vest) maybe deformed and shrinkage maybe quite obvious. Therefore, we should always avoid using tumble dry machine to dry the light weight cotton garments, but should use hang-dry method.

Q:     3.How to clean positions which get dirty easily?

A:     Some areas of a garment are subjected to frequent contact with body or external objects, and get dirty easily. For example, collar, cuff, gown, chest, pant hip knee, and leg-end etc. For these positions, we can use special washing detergent to spray on it and wait for a while before laundering in washing machine. Or we can soap the position in moderate hot water with detergent to dissolve the dirt.

Q:     4. How to wash 100% cotton clothes?

A:     Cotton’s nature is of easy deformation and have tendency to shrink, so do not wash such garments in very high temperature water. In fact, it is suggested to use cold water in washing. Also, machine washing mean the garment is repeatedly tumbled and could cause deformation as well, but usually for some casual wearing, such garment cares are general ignored by users. However, it is suggested to use hand wash and then hang dry in order to lengthen the product life cycle of the clothes.

Q:     5.How to wash 100% polyester / synthetic fabric garments?

A:     Similar methods in washing 100% cotton clothes, but as polyester / synthetic fabric is more resistant to shrinkage due to its fiber nature, therefore, machine washing can be applied without much deformation. Also, do not soak the garment in high temperature water and use high alkaline soap, as these will shrink, harden the fiber and cause pilling.
